Plan for heavy travel delays in Parleys Canyon this weekend
If you’re heading to Park City through Parleys Canyon this weekend to plan ahead and strongly consider an alternate route.
With drivers traveling to the Deer Valley Musical Festival, Concerts on the Slopes or recreation spots in the Wasatch Back, and a paving project in Parleys Canyon, we expect major delays on Interstate 80 this weekend.
I-80 will be down to one lane in each direction on the evenings of July 25 and 26 for a paving project from the mouth of the canyon to Mountain Dell Reservoir (Exits 131-134). Eastbound lane restrictions may start as early as 7 p.m., with westbound restrictions beginning by 10:30 p.m. each night.
We’re urging drivers to take Provo Canyon or Interstate 84 as alternate routes.
