Center Street in Orem Closure 8/1 to 8/3

The City of Orem will complete a paving project on Center Street this weekend. Work will take place on Center Street between Geneva Road and 800 West, and on 1200 West between 950 North and 625 North. The project begins Saturday, August 1, at 9 p.m. and continues through Monday, August 3, at 5 a.m. During this time, the I-15 northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps at Center Street will be closed. Drivers should plan for alternate routes, while transit riders should expect bus detours and temporary bus stop closures.

SR-153 and Beaver area

SR-153 (Beaver Canyon Scenic Byway) is closed indefinitely due to impacts from the Cottonwood Fire, flooding, and the continued threat of monsoon-driven debris flows. For your safety, avoid the area and do not drive around barricades. Conditions remain unpredictable and the closure will remain in place until it is safe to reopen.
