Heads up Davis County, as part of the ongoing 5600 South Improved construction, a temporary “Thru-U” traffic pattern will be in place along 5600 South between 2050 West and Hill Air Force Base, starting the evening of Friday, July 18th. This new pattern will help keep traffic moving during construction of the new interchange and is expected to be in place for up to three months.
On Friday, July 18th, all I-15 on- and off-ramps at 5600 South, along with the southbound I-15 off-ramp at Riverdale, will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Saturday, July 19. During this closure, northbound drivers can detour using I-84 in Riverdale, while southbound drivers can use 650 North (Exit 335) to re-enter I-15.
Please plan extra travel time during this temporary traffic pattern and visit udotinput.utah.gov/5600south for more information about the project.
Traveling to Bear Lake or the Uinta’s to beat the heat? Here’s a couple of construction projects to keep in mind:
Logan Canyon (US-89) will be closed overnight on July 21 and July 22, from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. During these hours, no through traffic will be allowed in the canyon. To avoid this closure consider alternate routes such as SR-39 through Huntsville and Woodruff or I-80 to Evanston, Wyoming then north to Woodruff. For more information about this project please visit udotinput.utah.gov/us89beavercreek.
Mirror Lake Highway (SR-150) is being resurfaced from Trial Lake to Sulphur Campground between 7 a.m. to 8 p.m, now through early September. Expect delays due to one-way alternating traffic controlled by flaggers and a pilot-car. For more information, please visit udotinput.utah.gov/mirrorlakepaving
Thank you for your patience while this work is completed, and safe travels!
